This is “Jazz”. I just hand delivered it to a young collector couple who purchased one of my expressive bear camper paintings a few weeks ago. One of them is a drummer and commissioned me to do a painting of a classic jazz drum kit. Having been a drummer for 25 years, ironically I have never done a painting of a drum kit. I drew various drum kits here and there on notebook paper in middle school and high school, but never a painting in my adult/professional life. I was so excited to be asked to do this commission. The young couple was overjoyed with the final painting as was I. I almost didn’t want to let it go! Sorry, no animal in this painting 🙂
