I’m speechless. I really am. What an amazing evening! Thank you everyone for making this project and its opening such an amazing success! I sincerely appreciate everyone’s outpouring of love, support, and patience. I am so happy that we were able to provide a truly safe and fun art opening celebrating all of your beloved canine companions. It really is a testament to how dog-centric and community-oriented Athens is and I’m thrilled that we could all come together on this common thread. I am also so happy to report that a portion of the sales proceeds will be going to Athens Area Humane Society.

If you were unable to attend due to geography or safety, I have compiled a short highlight video for you. You can view it below!

If you are interested in having a commissioned portrait painting of your dog or cat or any animal companion, give me a ring or send me an email. Commissions are officially open!

Stay gold and turn that stereo up to 10,

Will

Athens-centric Scavenger Hunt for the Whole Family

athventure Will Eskridge scavenger hunt

A few weeks ago, Athens Uncharted and I softly launched an interactive scavenger hunt to the public. We have been working hard on this for about 6 months and finally have released it for you to include in your summer adventures.

ATHVENTURE! is a scavenger hunt of sorts combining education, modern technology and nature. I’ve tried to make this a fun, interactive experience, utilizing this wonderful town of Athens and the technology of the Internet to learn about the natural wildlife of the area and spend time with some of Athens’ finest establishments. Sponsors have graciously donated some amazing prizes for the finalists of Athventure.

I encourage you to get outside and have some fun with your loved ones to experience all that Athens has to offer while learning about native wildlife. It’s completely free to play, so why not?! Hope to see you out and about!

Even the heat couldn’t keep us down! Thank you to all the volunteers and their hard work this past weekend AthFest Music & Arts Festival! I had another great weekend moving some wonderful pieces into the homes and spaces of new collectors and regular collectors alike. Athfest is more than a music and arts festival for the community. Proceeds raised go to funding local unique arts and music programs for the kids proposed by teachers and educators. These are some truly amazing programs and I am proud to know a couple on this year’s grantee list. Visit here to see the grantees and their fantastic programs.

Art Painting Studio Eskridge Athens, GA

I woke up fairly early this morning and promptly mowed the grass. I fried an egg and ate a couple of mandarins. I’m not sure what happened, it was like slow motion, but the next thing I know I was in the studio cleaning and organizing the studio. Either way, I’m glad it happened, as the studio needed it desperately. As far as the organization, I work well with a big mess, but sometimes it drives me crazy. It could still use a little more clean up, but you know… baby steps…
