Ursus Arctos

Description

Continuing the Vanishing Silhouettes series, Ursus Arctos 1 is painted on 22 gauge mild steel sheet. I set the sheet outside to allow the elements to weather it. I then carefully seal it to stop further weathering and then paint on top. Some of the rusted effect is left underneath to contrast wonderfully with the seam-foam green. A wood block with a recessed hole is secured to the back to allow a beautiful 1 inch floating effect when hung on the wall.
