Description
“Still Migration” is one from my newest series “Environmental Habits”. An expressively painted portrait of a duck fills the foreground and contrasts with the layered blue background. A single hard-edged subtle green square is thickly applied creating texture and representing the chaotic struggle to secure one’s habitat. The title adds to the question of what it means to have a habitat and the relationship between animal and man-who is forcing who out of their environment? As man tries to force nature into a compact box, nature pushes man back into his own box. In the end we are all just in “still migration”. Framed, signed and ready to hang.
