Grazing in the pasture, I discover others in the same boat. Our environment is finite.
On the open range, beyond the great fence, we are not the great destroyers of vegetation that common folklore would lead you to believe. Our confined space is limited and there is no where else for us to go. Thus we feast on the land that is in our vicinity with no reservation.
Imagine a world without fences.
This painting is a portrait of “Granny” one of the many wonderful goats that lives on a rescue farm, Sweet Olive Farm, where I volunteer from time to time. She is my favorite goat out there and seems to remember me. Or maybe it’s just because I bring her fresh hay.
