While my wife took care of the dogs at our homestead in Athens, I spent the Labor Day weekend with my folks, sister and her boyfriend and my brother. We all convened at a house on the North Fork Holston River in Abingdon, VA. It was a wonderful weekend with outdoor activities. We all trail biked the Upper Virginia Creeper Trail and did some leisure kayaking the next day. We also experienced Scot Bruce’s amazing tribute to Elvis at the Barter Theatre. I managed to put in a little sketching and also got a few nice shots of downtown Abingdon.
