This week I was working on some mural sketches for a skating rink and an idea popped into my head to paint some disco balls. I of course had to hit the easel immediately. In the middle of painting them yesterday I got to thinking about all the beautiful array of colors in a disco ball. How complex, yet inviting one is. How all the tiny squares work together to make up something beautiful and exciting. That it isn’t just a simple silver ball. So I wrote a quick poem I thought you might enjoy:
Like the multifaceted colors of a disco ball, our lives are less ordinary.
We seek the unique, the strange.
The outside is barren, so we look within.
We are many beautiful faces and we dance to the offbeat.
