There is a new arts and music festival kicking off this Saturday and I am so thrilled to have a major role with the event. I am honored and humbled to have been asked by the Fox Said Festival organizers to design and oversee the first Foxsaid Fest Community Mural. This unique community-based project features a 4×8 foot panel where members of the community will have the opportunity to paint the mural along with me. Community engagement with the arts and education in this format is right up my alley so I, of course, graciously accepted and immediately got to work on the design.
The name of the festival is FoxSaid and the imagery focuses on the fox and other woodland creatures. The timing could not have been more serendipitous as I am still in awe from the trip out west where I had experienced encounters with many of the animals of the woods. This heavily influenced my approach to the design. (Check for limited edition prints of it right here)
